Accio, trailer! At long last,\u00a0HBO Max\u00a0has released the much-anticipated preview of \u201cHarry Potter\u00a020th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts,\u201d its upcoming special that will reunite the actors and filmmakers<\/p>\n
from the eight-movie series, which will stream on Jan. 1.\u00a0\u201cHarry Potter and the Sorcerer\u2019s Stone,\u201d which kicked off the film arm of the Wizarding World, was released in November 2001 \u2014 and the special will commemorate the franchise\u2019s 20th anniversary.<\/p>\n
\u201cHarry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts,\u201d which will reunite actors\u00a0Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, was taped at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London. It will feature talent from the movies, including Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Tom Felton, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Mark Williams, Bonnie Wright, Alfred Enoch, Matthew Lewis and Evanna Lynch. Filmmakers David Heyman, Chris Columbus, Alfonso Cuar\u00f3n, Mike Newell and David Yates will also make appearances.<\/p>\n

The trailer features the cast reminiscing about the movies, as well as festivities in the Great Hall. Watson says, \u201cIt feels like no time has passed \u2014 and loads of time has passed.\u201d Radcliffe says that something that had scared him was \u201cthe implication that the most meaningful thing in our life was done,\u201d and that seeing everyone is \u201cjoyous\u201d because he realizes \u201cit wasn\u2019t though.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bonham Carter says a highlight for her was during \u201cHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2,\u201d when she \u201chad to pretend to be Hermione pretending to be Belletrix\u201d as they break into Gringotts. In conversation with Radcliffe, she says, \u201cI\u2019ve still got the teeth,\u201d and puts them in her mouth as he laughs.<\/p>\n
Fiennes says his sister, who had \u201cHarry Potter\u201d-aged children during the time when he was weighing whether to play Voldemort told him, \u201cYou\u2019ve got to do it!\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen things get really dark, and times are really hard, there\u2019s something about Harry Potter that makes life richer,\u201d Watson says, as the key trio of friends talk in the Gryffindor common room.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a strong bond that we\u2019ll always have,\u201d Grint agrees as they embrace.<\/p>\n
