He will succeed Heather Kadin in the role, with Kadin announcing her departure from the\u00a0CBS Studios-based pod to pursue other opportunities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cIn the ten years we\u2019ve worked together, day in and day out, Aaron has proven himself to be a problem solver and diplomat who has the rare gift of excellent taste across many genres,\u201d said Kurtzman. \u201cHe fights for the needs of our creative teams while maintaining strong relationships at the executive level, and he\u2019s played a key role in managing multiple, simultaneous productions both before and during the pandemic with unwavering steadiness and empathy. It\u2019s been a pleasure watching him grow into the leader he was always meant to be, and I\u2019m excited to dig deep with him as we expand our slate and company into the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<div id=\"adm-inline-article-ad-1\" class=\"admz\">\n<div class=\"adma boomerang\" data-device=\"Desktop\" data-width=\"300\">\n<div class=\"pmc-adm-boomerang-pub-div ad-text\">\n<div id=\"gpt-variety-article-mid-article-uid0\" class=\"adw-300 adh-250\" data-is-adhesion-ad=\"\" data-google-query-id=\"CJ_Op9Xk4fQCFY37dwodqYAHuQ\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Baiers was most recently Secret Hideout\u2019s senior vice president of television. In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing, developing and producing content across all platforms for linear, premium cable, and streaming platforms on behalf of the company.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cI couldn\u2019t be more excited to start this next chapter with Alex, and I\u2019m beyond grateful for his enduring support and leadership over the years,\u201d said Baiers. \u201cI\u2019ve been so fortunate to have worked closely with Heather during her tenure as president of the company, and I\u2019ll be forever grateful for everything she\u2019s taught me. My deepest thanks to David Stapf and all our amazing partners at the studio and networks for their guidance and advocacy during this transition. Secret Hideout has been my home for a decade, and I\u2019m thrilled to continue working with this talented team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Secret Hideout set up a\u00a0six-year extension of the company\u2019s existing overall deal\u00a0at CBS Studios back in August. Among other projects, Secret Hideout currently shepherds the growing \u201cStar Trek\u201d TV universe, which currently includes four shows with a fifth \u2014 \u201cStar Trek: Strange New Worlds\u201d \u2014 on the way. Several other \u201cStar Trek\u201d shows are also currently in development.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Baiers is an executive producer on \u201cStrange New Worlds\u201d as well as \u201cStar Trek: Lower Decks,\u201d \u201cStar Trek: Picard,\u201d \u201cStar Trek: Discovery,\u201d and \u201cStar Trek: Prodigy.\u201d He also executive produces the upcoming Secret Hideout show \u201cThe Man Who Fell to Earth\u201d at Showtime.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Baiers previously worked with Kurtzman and Kadin at their former company, K\/O Paper Products.
