When his estranged son appears on his doorstep, with a motorcycle and a grudge, nature itself will shake at their clash.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Grigorakis wrote the film, which was produced by Athens-based banner Haos Film. \u201cDigger\u201d had its world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival where it won the CICAE prize and went on to have a successful career in festivals, including Sarajevo, Thessaloniki and Philadelphia, and won several awards at the Hellenic Film Academy Awards. The movie has also had a strong box office run in Greece.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<div id=\"adm-inline-article-ad-1\" class=\"admz\">\n<div class=\"adma boomerang\" data-device=\"Desktop\" data-width=\"300\">\n<div class=\"adw-300 adh-250\" data-is-adhesion-ad=\"\" data-google-query-id=\"CNrk7pe2kfQCFedA9ggdOBYCag\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201dWe\u2019re thrilled to be handling this amazing film and representing Greece for the Oscars for Best International Film, and to be working with both Athina and the Match Factory on this as we consider this a family affair,\u201d said Strand Releasing\u2019s co-founders\u00a0Marcus Hu\u00a0and\u00a0Jon Gerrans, who have had a long-lasting relationship with the film\u2019s producer Athina Rachel Tsangari as well as the Match Factory.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cDigger\u201d was produced by Tsangari, Maria Hatzakou and Chrysanthi Karfi Koi, and co-produced by Gabrielle Dumon. The film\u2019s executive producers are Christos V.
