Jamie Clayton will play\u00a0Pinhead\u00a0in Spyglass and Hulu\u2019s upcoming reboot and re-imagining of the \u201cHellraiser\u201d franchise. The announcement confirms reports that Pinhead, the demonic creature at the center of the mayhem in the original films, will be portrayed by a woman.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe L Word: Generation Q\u201d and \u201cSense8\u201d actress joins the previously announced Odessa A\u2019zion in the film. Principal photography just wrapped on the new version of the venerable horror series.<\/p>\n

Rounding out the cast are Brandon Flynn (\u201c13 Reasons Why,\u201d \u201cRatched,\u201d) Goran Visnjic (\u201cThe Boys,\u201d \u201cER,\u201d) Drew Starkey (\u201cOuter Banks,\u201d \u201cLove, Simon,\u201d) Adam Faison (\u201cEverything\u2019s Gonna Be Okay,\u201d \u201cInto the Dark\u201d), Aoife Hinds (\u201cNormal People,\u201d \u201cAnne Boleyn,\u201d), Selina Lo (\u201cBoss Level\u201d) and Hiam Abbass (\u201cBlade Runner 2049,\u201d \u201cSuccession.\u201d)<\/p>\n

Clive Barker, the writer and director of the 1987 original, has come aboard as a producer, alongside Marc Toberoff, They join Phantom Four\u2019s David S. Goyer and Keith Levine. As previously announced, David Bruckner (\u201cThe Night House\u201d, \u201cThe Ritual,\u201d) is directing from a screenplay by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski (\u201cThe Night House,\u201d \u201cSuper Dark Times\u201d) with story by Goyer.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving seen some of the designs from David Bruckner\u2019s new \u2018Hellraiser\u2019 film, they pay homage to what the first film created, but then take it to places it\u2019s never been before,\u201d Barker said in a statement. \u201cThis is a \u2018Hellraiser\u2019 on a scale that I simply didn\u2019t expect. David and his team are steeped in the story\u2019s mythology, but what excites me is their desire to honour the original even as they revolutionize it for a new generation.\u201d<\/p>\n

The re-imagining of \u201cHellraiser\u201d will debut exclusively in the U.S. on Hulu. Oillataguerre and Chris Stone, Vice President of Production & Development will oversee the film on behalf of Spyglass.<\/p>\n
