Although he leads a successful life, he never totally recovered from the death of his beloved wife 30 years prior. One day, he meets a man who gives him the opportunity to travel back in time. Elliott embarks on a journey to change his wife\u2019s fate and do things differently, traveling back and forth between 2006 and 1976.<\/p>\n<p>Ben Ammar has optioned the 2006 book\u2019s English-language audiovisual rights for a duration of four years and is in negotiations with Farrelly to have him be involved as co-writer and director. Ben Ammar will be producing the film with Mark Burg, with whom he produced \u201cAmerican Skin\u201d and recently launched the vehicle T&amp;M Finance<\/p>\n<p>Farrelly, who\u2019s best known for the cult comedies \u201cThere\u2019s Something About Mary\u201d and \u201cDumb and Dumber,\u201d discovered the book after seeing the South Korean movie on a plane and fell in love with the story, which weaves romance and fantasy, said a source close to the project. Farrelly is currently filming \u201cThe Greatest Beer Run Ever\u201d with Zac Efron and Russell Crowe for Apple.<\/p>\n<p>The novel was previously adapted in South Korea with the 2016 film \u201cWill You Be There?,\u201d directed by Hong Ji-Young and starring Kim Yoon-Seok and Byun Yo-Han.<\/p>\n<p>Eagle Pictures, Italy\u2019s leading distributor, is also an investor in Gary Barber and Lantern Entertainment\u2019s\u00a0Spyglass Media Group\u00a0(along with Cineworld), and has been increasingly involved in production.<\/p>\n<p>One of France\u2019s most popular novelists, Musso is also the author of \u201cLa jeune fille et la nuit,\u201d whose series adaptation \u201cThe Reunion\u201d is currently shooting in the South of France with Bill Eagles (\u201cBeautiful Creatures,\u201d \u201c12 Monkeys\u201d) directing and Ioan Gruffudd (\u201cFantastic Four\u201d), Ivanna Sakhno (\u201cPacific Rim Uprising\u201d) and Gr\u00e9gory Fitoussi (\u201cSpiral\u201d) starring.
