Both executives will continue reporting into Katie Goodson-Thomas and DanTram Nguyen, heads of film production at Searchlight<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">During her time at Searchlight, Friedman has overseen films such as Chlo\u00e9 Zhao\u2019s \u201cNomadland,\u201d Taika Waititi\u2019s \u201cJojo Rabbit,\u201d Martin McDonagh\u2019s \u201cThree Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri\u201d and Marielle Heller\u2019s \u201cCan You Ever Forgive Me?,\u201d all of which were nominated for or won Oscars. Friedman is currently working on Waititi\u2019s upcoming film \u201cNext Goal Wins,\u201d Eva Longoria\u2019s feature directorial debut \u201cFlamin\u2019 Hot\u201d and McDonagh\u2019s next film \u201cThe Banshees of Inisherin.\u201d Prior to Searchlight, she worked at Paramount Vantage and di Bonaventura Pictures after graduating from Brown University.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<div id=\"adm-inline-article-ad-1\" class=\"admz\">\n<div class=\"adma boomerang\" data-device=\"Desktop\" data-width=\"300\">\n<div class=\"pmc-adm-boomerang-pub-div ad-text\">\n<div>\n<div id=\"aniBox\">\n<div id=\"aniplayer_selectJS756300416\">\n<div id=\"aniplayer_selectJS756300416gui\">\n<div id=\"av-caption\">\n<div id=\"av-close-btn-overlay\" class=\"av-pos-top-left\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Ruiz started as a creative executive. He has worked on such films as Yorgos Lanthimos\u2019 \u201cThe Favourite,\u201d Dome Karukoski\u2019s \u201cTolkien,\u201d and Radio Silence\u2019s \u201cReady or Not.\u201d He also oversaw this fall\u2019s \u201cThe Eyes of Tammy Faye,\u201d which is expected to be in the thick of the awards race. He is currently overseeing Andrew Ahn\u2019s \u201cFire Island\u201d starring Joel Kim Booster and Bowen Yang. Prior to Searchlight, Ruiz worked with director Kimberly Peirce (\u201cBoys Don\u2019t Cry\u201d) on a number of film and TV projects including the 2013 version of \u201cCarrie\u201d starring Chlo\u00eb Grace Moretz and Julianne Moore.
